I have enjoyed creating and constructing things since I was a child. In the early 1980's I began to get seriously involved in sculpting and painting. By the late 1980's I decided to focus on sculpting. My sculptures have included: mixed media pieces dealing with anthropological themes (American Artifacts), life-size figurative pieces, outdoor sculptures, wooden wall pieces, mobiles, and public commissions. Some pieces are simply for visual pleasure; others deal with psychological or political issues. I have taken a few art classes, but, for the most part, I have learned by doing.
