Corinna Wood and Jessica Godino became friends when they studied together at the Evergreen State College in 1991 and apprenticed with Susun Weed in 1993. After their apprenticeship, they found themselves supplying friends and family with their homemade medicines. In response to the overwhelming success people had with their herbs, they started Red Moon Herbs in late 1994. Now located at Earthaven Ecovillage, an intentional community near Asheville, NC, Red Moon Herbs has grown to include mail order and wholesale accounts nationwide. In 2001, Jessica left Red Moon Herbs to focus on herbal consultations and classes. Today, Corinna runs the day-to-day operations of Red Moon with the help of four women living at and near Earthaven, as well as a few interns at a time.

Corinna Wood has opened the hearts of thousands to the wisdom of the plants and their own bodies. She is director of Red Moon Herbs, an herbal medicine company focusing on women's health and fresh, local plants. Corinna's background includes a B.S. in biology and an extensive apprenticeship with Susun Weed. Corinna is certified as an Herbalist, a Fertility Awareness Teacher, and also in Permaculture Design. Corinna lives with her family at Earthaven Ecovillage in Black Mountain, NC. Corinna and her partner, Otter John, are devoted parents to their son, Dylan. They are currently designing a unique co-housing neighborhood at Earthaven Ecovillage, which will house Red Moon Herbs as well as several families.

Kimchi has now become the assistant manager of Red Moon Herbs. She blesses Red Moon with her enthusiasm, and her dedication to keeping everything running smoothly. Michelle was called to Red Moon through a dream, first as an apprentice, and now as our primary wildcrafter. She communicates beautifully with the plants, and brings a spirit of reverence to Red Moon. Anne has returned to Red Moon, after apprenticing two years ago, as our medicine manager. You'll find Anne filling orders, mixing blends, and overseeing our interns. Ema, our newest staff member, is weaving her skills with people and computers into her esteemed role as our "office goddess." We love the centeredness she brings not only to our office, but also to her teaching of our weekly yoga practice! We are proud to say that Red Moon Herbs has developed an excellent reputation as an herbal medicine company focusing on the highest quality fresh, local plants. It has also become a gathering place for people, especially women, who are seeking a deeper connection with the earth, the plants, and their own bodies. Here at Red Moon Herbs, we are excited for the coming year of educational programs which are informative, engaging, and easy to incorporate into your daily life. We look forward to seeing you soon!
