An amazing number of health concerns can be addressed simply by returning to the ancient ways of eating of our ancestors!
Corinna draws heavily on the work of Sally Fallon, who is a leader in the field of nutrition, challenging what she calls "Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrats" As Sally Fallon says in her book Nourishing Traditions:
"The Diet Dictocrats don't want you to know that . . .
? Your body needs old-fashioned animal fats
? New-fangled polyunsaturated oils can be bad for you
? Modern whole grain products can cause health problems
? Traditional sauces promote digestion and assimilation
? Modern food processing denatures our foods but
? Ancient preservation methods actually increase nutrients in fruits, nuts, vegetables, meats, and milk products!"

Through this program, you will develop a circle of herbal allies. In the wise woman tradition, we don't do this by just memorizing facts. This program is an opportunity to create a personal relationship with the plants, the Earth, the Goddess, your intuition, and your own body. It is not only a knowledge base, but also a lifestyle: one of self-love, nourishment, compassion, and caring for the Earth.
We harvest and make medicines together. Through workshops, discussions, and plant walks, you deepen your understanding of how to take health care into your own hands. You take home reading and hands-on assignments as homework to deepen your experience between the weekends. A certificate is awarded upon completion of the program.
A foundation in the Wise Woman Ways feeds both mind and body, heart and soul. You enjoy delicious, organic meals every day, and Gentle Yoga on Sunday mornings. Activities such as fire circles and sharing from our hearts take place in the evenings.
